Dear to the believer’s heart are the inspired words which tell of the Savior’s birth in Bethlehem. With beautiful simplicity and serendipity, God has unfolded to the world the incarnation of His Only Begotten Son. At this Christmas season, as the Christian’s mind and motivation are centered on the greatest gift that the Heavenly Father has given, should not the very best be given to the Master?
God the Father sent Jesus the Son to be “the savior of the world” (1 John 4:14). He has destroyed “the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8) and is the “propitiation” for the “sins” of mankind (1 John 4:10). The believer can only “live” a life of faith and fidelity “through Him” (1 John 4:9).
Jesus is no longer in the manger; He is no longer on the cross. The Christian worships the living resurrected Christ who is seated at the right hand of the Father. This good news instills within the believer great joy and invigorates a hope that this One and Only Sovereign Savior will again return in glorious power.
Commemorate Christmas before your church and community with confidence and cheerfulness. Fellowship with family and friends with an overflowing faith that can overturn frowns, overcome failures, overrule friction, overthrow fallacies and overwhelm foes. Try not to overlook the feeble, fragile or fearful. And may the sharing of God’s gift of grace, seasoned with salt, never be overbearing or overdone.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the servants of Slavic Missionary Service!

God’s strategy for world evangelism calls for two equally important elements: Co-missionaries and Go-missionaries, the senders and the sent, the supporters and the workers. A Christian church without missionary enthusiasm is a contradiction. God depends upon the faithful testimony of His people for the evangelization of the world. The Savior expects those who have tasted the sweetness of salvation to spread the news far and wide. He has commissioned His children to share His Word to the lost in every country. |
