We Must Carry To Them The Gospel

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world" (Matthew 28:19,20).

We are under the deepest obligation to evangelize Jewish people. We must carry to them the Gospel of Salvation by faith in our Lord Jesus. It has been our privilege to minister to Russian Jewish immigrants for the past 25 years.

When we came to U.S.A.in 1985 there were only three Russian speaking churches in Manhattan. Through prayer, good works, hospitality, visitation, Bible studies and coworking with pastors, evangelists, teachers, layman and missionaries the work has been growing. We have seen God's blessing. There are presently five Russian speaking churches in Brooklyn alone, and two on Staten Island. The Lord has used the children's Summer Camp in Ashford, CT. Some of the Jewish families have been saved because of this outreach. Praise be to God for many who have prayed and supported the missionary work in N.Y area over many years.Indeed those layman who have been actively behind the work laboring in prayer will receive their reward one day. We have been blessed to be a small part in working together with our brethren.

Alex's special joy has been discipling new believers. He has delighted to answer their many questions, and preparing them for baptism. Also his work has included counseling and serving as a helper for pastors. The all important thing for Alex and every true servant of God is to be found exactly where his Master would have him. The question is not: Am I doing a great deal of work? But am I pleasing my Master? And, how to be a clean vessel for God's purposes? (1Tim 4:15,16) "May the Lord strengthen each one of us to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ... "first to the Jew and then the gentiles".
